As his source of inspiration for Spring/Summer 2011, José Janga – BOSS Green SeniorHead of Creative Management – envisioned a naval base on the Caribbean islands. Theline’s looks feature detailing adapted from naval uniforms, spiced with tropical touches.
Flowers and stripes echo large and small throughout the summery BOSS GreenWomenswear. A fresh recurring flower theme blossoms on short shorts and beachdresses, which pair up with striped knit cardigans, feminine jersey tops and blouses.Navy blue edging on airy white blazers in cotton jersey recalls the sailor’s classic garb.A long, super-soft cable-knit cardigan is combined with cool jersey capris that flauntblue-and-white striped hem trim. Smart striped-look straw hats and pirate scarves infloral prints capture the Caribbean feel. The outerwear highlight is a partially quilted zip-through jacket with a sexy cut and high-gloss finish. The sleeves are detachable,allowing it to double as a vest.
On the fairways, it’s time for a slinky piqué dress with a striped belt – or micro-checkpants or shorts, topped by snug-fitting polo shirts in flashy colors. New on the fabricfront this summer: inbuilt UV protection for polos, knits and jerseys.
